Coworking in Atlanta – 151 Locust

February 10, 2012 — 17 Comments

As I continue on my quest to find the perfect coworking spot in Atlanta I decided to head over and visit 151 Locust in Decatur – it’s essentially an old (but restored) farm house that’s been converted in a work and business environment.

With a larger and smaller conference room (bottom floor, second floor) it’s got great space and a very well-stocked kitchen to boot.

I spent the day with my ChairCo students both upstairs for some time and then downstairs in the larger common area – we even brought in a videographer to the place so that we could take a few videos, etc. How fun!

The kitchen has some great options, fridge is well-kept, and it’s got a great vibe to it as a whole. I personally dig the farm house feel since I bought a home in the same area – it gives it a neat vintage feel.

Upstairs are some cubicle areas for personal productivity and the backyard is big enough to have some parties and larger gatherings if you wanted. Right around the corner are some very tasty treats, lunch options, and a coffee spot for your caffeine fix.

Here are some other pictures of the environment:

Overall it was a pleasant place to work. It’s worth noting that since it’s an older building you will “hear” a lot of things – no soft corporate carpeting here!

Check it out if you’re in the area.

:)

It’s quite easy to get to and is close to I-285 btw. That’s nice!
