You’ve already seen me use Screenflow a few times already with my walk-through videos and more!
Honestly, there’s no better screen capture software out there and I am completely satisfied with what Screenflow offers in terms of features. In fact, I don’t even use most of them and it does the job just perfectly!

I have good things about that application on the Mac.
On the PC windows platform, I use the good old standy Camtasia. Better than Jing Project and others. I sometimes use http://www.screentoaster.com since it webased and easy to do quick video captures when not on my own machine.

Camtasia on my work machine.
Being playing around with an open source version of CamStudio – not too bad for basic screen capture.

Stuff like that makes me want a Mac but alas I’m still a PC and use Camtasia + Jing depending on the application.

I went to Mac from PC 16 months ago when I began my new ministry position and I won’t go back!!
I have seen Camtasia used a little in conjunction with teaching online courses. But, I’ve never used it to create video myself. I’m not sure if I’ll ever have a need for screen capture video, but I will definitely need to file this away for future reference if I do.

what is the app that allows you to customize your dock like you have it in the video? I like how they are categorized and have space between groups.

ScreenFlow is a great timesaver. I highlight some of the more advanced techniques over at http://www.macscreencasting.com/blog and there’s a whitepaper there too. No option either.
A couple of advanced techniques include using transparent png files for overlays & callouts, incorporating greenscreen effects w/iMovie, and using multiple cameras in your videos. You can even use ScreenFlow to edit regular video instead of iMovie or Final Cut Express.
It’s a great tool.

I wish I had a Mac but I don’t (yet). I’m a PC user and I really like Screencast-O-Matic.com. Screenr.com looks cool too although I’m not crazy about the integration with Twitter. Anyway, just thought I’d chime in.
