Well, it’s over. It’s all over. The battle for my soul has been won (or lost… not sure which one here…).

I’ve purchased a 17″ Mac Book Pro.

Thanks SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much for those that gave me wonderful insight and guidance as what I should do.

I really love how the online community can come together and simply “help a brother out.”

For those that are interested, here are the specs [copied and pasted from my email confirmation]:

  • Processor – 2.93GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
  • Memory – 4GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM 2X2GB
  • Hard Drive – 320GB Serial ATA @ 7200 rpm
  • Optical Drive – SuperDrive 8X
  • Display – DISPLAY-HI RES, Widescreen

I’m pretty excited. This is the first time where the number of Apple computers in my family is greater than the number of Windows PCs.

Wow. Some would call that “spiritual.”

    If you order trucks, bearings and wheels, it can double as a skateboard. it'd be sweet if you had to connect down a long airport concourse….

    nice work. for the record, you can buy applecare on ebay for MUCH less than you can get it from apple. here's the part number for your macbook pro: MB588LL/A. You can buy it now on ebay for $175!     My work is buying me an iMac soon! It'll be my first mac… a personal laptop will probably follow. Then all I have to do is wait for Apple's exclusivity contract with AT&T to be over so I can get an iPhone on Verizon! (this comment brought to you by Dell M1530)
