I’m allowed to say that, right?
In all seriousness I’m really pumped about this next iteration of our Blogging Theme for WordPress, Standard Theme 2.
It’s really been my passion to help others leverage the best technology and code when it comes to blogging without the hassle of having to worry about whether or not their theme validates or is SEO-friendly.
A Single Focus:
I love how my team has decided to create 1 product and do it well instead of dividing our energy among a number of different WordPress themes and thus potentially diluting our efforts. We’ll tackle one market at a time, thank you!
I sometimes liken it to playing sports – when you were young you were able to play soccer, basketball, football, and even more and still be relatively good at all of them at the same time. But, you quickly realize that you have to specialize and choose one of them to dedicate your time to so that you can get to that next level of competition, skill, and success.
Scratch The Itch!
We’ve done the same thing with our WordPress Theme where we’ve “scratched our own itch” (because we’re bloggers) and created a best-in-class product for that one specific need: Blogging.
Unless we decide to move into other markets and verticals (based on our personal and professional needs) we’ll probably end up building out our expertly crafted WordPress Theme until the end of time.
I like that simplicity in mission and scope. I wish the rest of the life was so simple!
In anycase, I hope you enjoy and find Standard Theme 2 to be the best blogging theme out there! We’ve put just as much love into it as the time it took to develop!

Great theme! Keep up the good work, you and your team should be proud.
This is sweet, Any chance you guys can add this kind of customization to the WPPhotographer theme?
we are actually looking to re-release that theme with our new updated framework…! stay tuned.
Does this have WordPressMU support? It seems difficult to find good themes or frameworks that allow a single-install/multiple configuration scenario for those of us managing multiple blogs. In my case, there are 9 related ministries under one “umbrella,” most of which are going to be blogging within the next 12 months.
not yet. will soon!
