This week has nearly killed me with an incredible amount of work and relationships to manage. Finding the time to sit down and write has been a very difficult challenge.
Anyone feel me on that?!?
My friends, blog on. The inspiration is there, the content is waiting to be written, the time is available (as much as you think it’s not), and your readers are ready to hear what you have to say.
Don’t forget. Don’t forget!
Here are a few thought to further inspire and encourage you:
- Write about one thing that you did this week that was different. Share with your readers what you learned and how it changed your perspective.
- Capture a picture of yourself doing something which you may consider incredibly mundane and use it as a jump-off to write about how it could change if you changed something about yourself.
- Stand up and walk outside. Walk down the block and back. Do this now. Capture your thoughts when you get back. Publish.
- Write about something that’s happening this weekend or coming week. Tell us why you’re anxious or excited and why.
Hope that helps!

You inspire me brother to write more. I know my week is busy as hell with three kids and school, class for myself and relationships, but so is yours, and probably more so. Keep on keeping on!
I plan on trying my best.
So simple, yet so appropriate and inspiring. It’s these posts that prove you’re a pro, John. Adn I feel you – the motivation is tough, the load is heavy. And the real pros keep on keepin’ on. Great post!
Thank you for the encouraging post, I needed to read this today.
John, it has been a teribly rough couple of weeks… I haven’t published (on dustn.tv) in over a week. It makes me want to put my fist through a wall! But I guess you’re right. Nothing to do but to just blog on.
Thanks for the encouragement!
Needed this today. Sometimes you feel like throwing in the towel… like there aren’t new ideas floating around in your head. But these ideas feel doable and real.
Lately I’ve been having so much problems coming up with content. Since I do weekly videos on my blog I’ve had to really relax to write. Content has been hard to come by but some of your suggestions are really great and I will try them. I think I just need to rest. Get more sleep. With so many projects going on I have to manage my time. Thanks John.
Short but full of useful info, I would wrote a better comment. but I need to go down the block, it’s rainy, cold and I’m sure I will get idea to write about.
Publish
thanks for sharing
Yes, I definitely “feel you” on that front…so much to do, so little time…or is that the case? I know I waste time on some stuff everyday, so with that being said, I know I can find the time to write. I have a new site launching next week, and while it’s stressful, it’s fun too, but I had to get out of my own head, because I kept second guessing my content, and questioning if I’d have enough content in the future…and, and, and…you get my point! But, at the end of the day, I figured it would all come together, and amazingly it has been. Keep up the good work John. As you have said many times, you are blessed, and you know it – keep on doing whatcha’ do. Thanks for being an inspiration to a lot of us.
John, I’ve been meaning to respond to you for a while now — thank you for this post! I was starting to question the idea of keeping up my blog. I just needed the visual and your inspiring words to shake myself out of self-doubt. Thanks for the encouraging words and image! Steph
