Where Do You Sit in the ‘Blog Tree’?

And perhaps more importantly:

Where in the tree would you like to be in the coming future?

Love to hear your thoughts!

Are you a:

  1. How-To Blog
  2. Social Media Blog
  3. Venture Capital Blog
  4. News Blog
  5. PR Blog
  6. Personal Branding Blog
  7. Other?

Probably many of us will find ourselves in the “Other” category, but it might be interesting and important to note the “major” categories that have proven success tracks.

I'm passionate about startups, blogging, and human capital. I love what I do and who I get to work with. I am incredibly blessed.

  1. I am a little bit of three. 1)the Antiquarian Librarian is my personal brand blog, you might say. It focuses on my interests relating to librarianship. Daniel’s Den is more of a news and good news blog; focusing on politics, Christian faith, self-help and good news. I guess I break most of the blogging rules.

  2. At the moment, my blog is hanging with the worms in that graphic – but I’m excited to get to the 0-10,000 leaf area :D

CreativeBlogger sits in the How-To, Social Media, Personal Branding categories.

  3. I think my blog is more of a Social blog. Id love to get at least 1000 views a month. Heck, maybe just 500 views a month would be awesome. Any tips on accomplishing that?

  4. I guess I’m closest to a “how to” blog.

  5. I’ll have to check in 6 months from now, to see what’s developed. I’d like to think I’ll be on track for #6, but well see. It’s gonna be rad.

  6. Mine is a How-To blog. It’s a DIY blog on how to install decorative mouldings in your home — the kind of mouldings you see in historic homes.

Last night we hit a new record of 1,023 pageviews in a single day!

Since we started our blog in April 2011, we would see a new record high pageview only every month or so. For the last week we’ve been seeing record highs every single day!!!

Thanks for all of your help, John, Tentblogger is now the only blog about blogging that I read.

    Cheers,
    Ken
