Giveaway: Bryan Allain’s Blogging Mojo eBook

October 16, 2011 — 27 Comments

A week or so ago (or longer? I can’t remember…) I had the opportunity to introduce some of you, for the first time, to Bryan Allain, a long-time blogger and friend who’s been hard at work making the balance of a full time job and a dream of becoming a full time entrepreneur and blogger a reality.

Which, for many of us, is exactly where we sit; between the “here and there,” the “today and tomorrow” of our passions and blogs.

You could learn a thing or two from him!

Well he and I decided that it would be pretty neat to offer a few free copies of his 31 Days to Finding Your Blogging Mojo ebook here on the blog as well as in the Community Forums!

(Dang, I love giveaways…!)

Ready for some more mojo-ness-ness…?

All you have to do is:

  1. Comment below your thoughts about the word “mojo” – Entry +1
  2. Tweet this post – Entry +1
  3. Tweet at @bryanallain a 140 character or less joke, see if you can get him to #LOL you – Entry +1

And that’s that!

Mojo always makes me think of that weird attribute Austin Powers had: Something creepy and odd, but somewhat attractive. Mojo also makes me think of the dog from Transformers, who is Shia Lebeouf’s dog.

As for my thoughts on the word, Mojo is our personality, our Hutzpah, if you pardon the phrase. It’s who we are.

  5. I thought Austin Powers lost his mojo ;)

    It evokes thoughts of awesomeness!

  6. Mojo makes me think of the Austin Powers movies :)

  7. Mojo reminds me of Austin Powers, mojo… Austin Powers and then Joseph Son

  8. I think of Austin Powers and how I can steal his.  #villainous but we’re talking about Bryan Allain, so can we say #bryllainous All about the hashpuns!!!

  9. Definitely Austin Powers – something about needing my mojo back! And in a way… I simply need to find my mojo for a new sort of life! One that fits in around raising kids!!! :-)

  10. Just started my blog for docs and want to Get my MOJO!!!

  11. When I think of Mojo I think of having energy and drive…funnily enough like I do when I drink coffee [I have a minor addiction].

  12. Mojo…that’s what you can hear hear me say in the morning…”I need mo jo!

  13. Mojo…I think of the X-men villian: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mojo_(comics)

He’s pretty ugly but hey…I need mojo on my blog!

  14. Mo-jo? Forget mojo, let’s do the “Moe-Jo” (Moe as in me!) Holla!

  15. Mojo makes me thing of all things groovy!

  16. I’d rather have mojo than lessjo!

  17. Mojo is often used in pop culture and in business – “Moxie” is another term used to express expertise and intellectual diligence. The use of branding is a fine art and can be subjective depending on the audience that you seek.

Using focus groups before and after implementing a brand strategy is the best way to know to are on track and NOT wasting time and money.

    Good luck with your book!

  18. To me, mojo is a sense of self that can’t be shaken by externals. (Except lack of coffee :)

  19. MOJO: From the Latin “motivaticus jobicus”. To be motivated to do a job.

Used in a sentence: The mojo from this book with help me get my blog posts written.

  20. Mojo…hmmm…

It reminds me of guru for some reason. So maybe it’s like your inner guru that you have to discover or something! haha

  21. I think of Austin Powers and how I can steal his. #villainous but we’re talking about Bryan Allain, so can we say #bryllainous all about the hashpuns!!!

  22. Mojo tells me that someone has something going on. Love your blog, been gleaning some great info lately, so thank you!

  23. Mojo. It’s the funk man! It means you’ve got the goods, the plan, the ultimate jam! Mojo! Who’s got it?! Bryan Allain does!

  24. For me, a Mojo means an inner power that gets things done…
And don’t you know that some Mojo is what I’m needing right now?

  25. I think “mojo” is underutilized. It’s almost like the word “dude”. So many applications.

I had the privilege of receiving a review copy of Bryan’s book and it was fantastic. I plan on blogging through it in December after finishing NaNoWriMo in November.

  26. Mojo actually reminds me of Flask of Mojo from World of Warcraft. Yes, I’m a geek.

  27. MOJO – It’s a toss up between Austin Powers, and Jim Morrison. Either way you look at it, MOJO is a word with many definitions. But they all mean ‘SUCCESS’
