My 9-month old daughter (and I) decided that the old Dell XPS wasn’t pulling its weight when it came to blogging so we decided to show it who’s boss (or she did).
In her own little way she slowly, but surely, managed to take off all of the keys. Ah, what a great break from the mundane!
I have a few videos after the jump as well. Enjoy!

Perhaps she was also a bit upset that her daddy didn’t win the Dell Contest that he entered in. Sad! That’ll show ‘em!

Oh the humanity! look away! LOOK AWAY!!!
oh, but it was so right…
Nice. My 10 month old took the up arrow off my FUNCTIONAL Macbook Pro.
And the down arrow won’t work. Crazy kids.
yikes!
Now THAT is tragic!
now you just have to hope that she doesn’t do that with the replacement laptop when you aren’t looking! lol
hehe! with my macbook pro you can’t grab the keys as easily… with those stubby fingers…
At least yours were the human variety kind. My computer’s “f” key went flying when my Pomeranian decided to walk across the keys.
…… whoa!
What theme music would be good for those demolish videos?
… oh. i should have put some in there…!
Well I certainly hope she had fun. I am currently running Ubuntu 11.10 on a Dell E1405 which I believe is even older than that machine. Seems a bit of shame to discard old hardware that other people would be quite willing to use…
daniel,
it was broken. i didn’t mention this in the post but the cooling unit melted to the motherboard and the memory slot was burned up.
sadness. it was out the door.
Well in that case, let her rip…
Were you able to atleast save the hard drive? I believe they make external cases which can take 2.5 inch drives.
discs skipped badly.
lol, ahhhsome!
Wow, that was quite the demonstration, lol. But now, you might have to be extra careful with your new laptop lest it become a tradition!

she doesn’t ever touch “appa’s computer”!
That’s awesome! She really worked on her fine motor skills that day. In a contest between baby drool vs. computer…baby drool always comes out the winner. Same rule applies to the remote control (I have first hand knowledge).
hehe!
John, that’s awesome! I wish I could have done that as a kid!
As if Dell had a chance……
hahah!
The dell didn’t know what hit it.
that’s for sure…!
Your daughter is so darn cute!! Good way to keep a kid busy for awhile.
thanks benny!
Ha Ha.. your daughter is so so cute! So as your idea
The dell didn’t know what hit it. Child wins

Hehehe! Something like happened to my Acer a few years ago, my son was so happy, but my laptop was not
…
i was happy!
