Today I dealt with some baby-sized problems that, taken from the wrong perspective, could have been seen to be quite large. I’m thankful for them though; it’s helping me stay the course and stay prepared.
It’s all in how you look at it, right?
Any baby-sized problems lately for you?

I was updating my comment system on my website to Disqus because of your tweet about John Piper, and it wasn't following my style.css… which, seemed like a big, go-into-the-file-and-fix-with-code kind of problem, but it wasn't! Thank goodness.
I deal with baby-sized problems every day because I deal with very small children with special needs. And every problem is a big problem to them. It's all about perspective. I've learned to control my perspective. Just because they are having a problem, it doesn't mean I have to have a problem.
My life sometimes seems like constant chaos, and I often feel like I am one step away from getting someone angry with me. Remembering to smile and even enjoying the act of smiling can be a victory in and of itself.
Cool picture by the way…..
Text yesterday morning: "The server is down!" … Right as my first class of the semester is starting!
They hadn't cleared their cache.
I see this happen in the youth ministry. I may get myself worked up over nothing. I have to step back and take a moment.
We've been rolling out some new application code to our international sites and have had a couple of hiccups here and there. Nothing too serious but, like you said, "taken from the wrong perspective, could have seen to be quite large."
I find that I have a tendency to magnify the size of certain types of problems. When this happens, I end up treating the problem like it's much more severe. The way I *see* problems is proportional to how effective I am at solving them. When I magnify them, I'm practically destined to have a harder time addressing them.
I'm working on it, but it is what it is.
trying to figure out how to manage student leadership peeps and be creative in the process.
also a new blog face. actually been working on that one for a while now. trying to find the right one.
Just came across Ramit Sethi's post on removing barriers again last night. Realized there was a big project I was avoiding like the plague because of about 30 minutes worth of clutter that had been dumped in the space where I needed to work. Half an hour later, and I was ready for bed. Been killing it on the project today. Hope the next couple weeks are this productive.
