Google Plus Vanity URL Invite Email
I was invited a few days ago to secure my Vanity URL (or Custom URL) for Google Plus, which now looks a whole lot better than what it was previously.
So, instead of https://plus.google.com/105890490724905550943/ it’s now https://plus.google.com/+JohnSaddington/ - much easier to remember and read.
For those that are curious I cannot remember signing up for this or even asking to be considered for it so I’m not sure how I got the invite. But, you can go directly here to claim yours.
I think this is an important part of Personal Branding and I’ll include it from now on in that series.
[This is part of the Personal Branding Series.]

As far as I can tell, unless they have rolled this out to you, the option to claim won’t show up yet. I’ve tried a few times, but nothing shows up. hey have said it’s rolling out in waves, so hopefully it will be available to all those that want it soon.
I don’t see an option to claim mine either
I’ve also tried a couple times, but haven’t seen the option yet to claim.
When the opportunity comes, I’m not even sure I’ll go with it though. I really like my /102554450186016312731 url. Its catchy for sure….I just wish I could put it on my license plate too like a shortwave radio operator.
No option for me, either.
Hopefully it comes out soon.
This feature is rolling out to verified Google+ users and brands first, which is why most of us don’t have the option yet.
How do I not have this available yet? Meh…
I think you need to have a quadrillion followers first. It’ll come to us normal beings soon enough I am sure. Just hoping to not be +lukerumley284610, you know?
Thanks for the information, I didn’t know they had already begun… anyway still nothing for me, I guess I’m not part of the elite
So – here’s another way of doing this trick: http://gplus.to/ Sort of a workaround! and I hope it also works for you guys!
not available to me either.
Stop gloating! :p I really badly want my vanity url / permalink for Google+. I really hope Google offers me one soon :/
