Changing my life…!
Which means… everything.
My life is incredibly complex already – just like yours I imagine. I have been doing everything I possibly can to simplify even the smallest details so I can prepare for an incredible 2013, which is passing by at record speed. Seriously, we’re almost done with January and it’s scaring the crap out of me.
Everything in my life on the table and is up for simplifying – from what I eat to what I wear to how I manage my team to how I write to how I drive my freakin’ car. It all matters and it’s all interdependent.
So when my friend Tom introduced me to his new wallet + phone solution I had to try it out.

Love!
This credit card iPhone 5 case by Speck is amazing for two reasons:
- It combines my wallet and phone into one solution. 2 ~~~> 1 is amazing.
- It forces me to strip to the bare minimum of what I carry. I used to carry 6 credit cards with me including a MARTA pass, two health insurance cards, my Driver’s License, and even some cash. Now I have 3 cards: One debit card, my license, and my health insurance.
Sure, sure – if I lose my phone I lose my “wallet” too. But I’m not too worried about that. I’ve used it for one full day while shopping at Target, eating out, and Starbucks – it’s changing my world!
It’s not as sleek as my last one but it’s infinitely more functional. Simplify all the things. Seriously. Thanks Tom.

THIS.
So where do you put that thing? It looks clunky for sure. Is it in your front pocket?
i recently started using the speck wallet phone case too. overall i like it. i had to make one mod to it: drill a bigger hole for the earphone jack. the opening was waay too recessed as you probably noticed. besides that and it being really hard to take off, i’ve been liking it. it does simplify things a lot
Perfect!
This isn’t as slim as what you’ve shown, but I’ve always thought this was a fun option:
the BookBook by Twelve South

That’s very cool!
I can’t imagine getting down to three cards.
I like the idea in theory, but short of leaving a bunch of cards in my car glove compartment, I need a wallet.
People give me gift cards and unless I have them with me I never remember to use them, membership cards, my two credit cards, work credit card, my debit card, work debit card.
I keep thinking about doing something like this, but I have to figure out what to do with the extra cards that I occasionally need.
My only words of wisdom on this topic: “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.”
The day you lose your iPhallet will be a day of great sadness.
seriously. i’ve thought about it… but, whatevs.
How big is it? I have been looking to consolidate my phone and wallet but have not found anything that fits well in my pocket.
it can fit 4 snugly. 3 is good though.
I’ve tried that however my iphone seems to be too clunky to carry around like a wallet. I carry a really thin wallet that only has two or 3 cards and my license.
One way that I have simplified things is using evernote. I used to carry a notebook and jot all my meeting notes, etc down….or I would have post its everywhere. Using evernote has really simplified things.
What a clever idea, I don’t know if I am completely solid it. I am not much of a wallet carrier anyways. I try to keep things very simple as well.
I wondering if they will make these for other phones as well…could be interesting to see in the future.
Lately I’ve been using the Axis Wallet in an effort to simplify my life as well. It is just such a challenge deciding what to bring and what to leave behind.
Thanks, I’m always looking for ways to simplify, too.
I prefer the idea of having a credit card in my phone and use it with nfc technology rather than having such custody.
I unfortunately would not be able to reduce my wallet just three plastic cards
Have you tried the Lemon Wallet app?
