Fascinating!
It’s helpful to know that Google is continually making Adsense better for both publishers and advertisers as well as for the end consumers – and of course the natural next step is to make advertising social.
Starting last month you may have encountered Google Adsense with Google +1 on them, like the advertisement on the right – have you seen them or encountered them in your browsing experience?
Google shares their thoughts with this new implementation:
Starting in October, the +1 button will begin to appear on display ads on your site. With a single click, people will now be able to endorse specific ads and make them more likely to appear to their social connections.
We believe that these recommendations could lead your readers to notice ads on your site more, leading to more clicks and higher returns for you over time.
Hmm. Really? They continue on in their example:
For example, take Susan, who sees an ad for a good deal on flights. She +1’s the ad, thinking her friends might value this deal. Now, when Susan’s friends and contacts are signed in to their Google accounts, they’ll be able to see Susan’s picture across the bottom of the ad, with a note saying she +1’d it.
Susan’s friends and contacts will also be more likely to see the ad. While the dynamics of our ad auction aren’t changing, the ad will now be included in the auction for the pages Susan’s friends visit, as we know recommendations from friends can be a strong signal of an ad’s relevance.
Pretty neat if you ask me.
The point of sharing this is two-fold:
- Social sharing is important and is a powerful contextual tool for your users and your profitability. Making sure you have Google Plus is a good thing!
- Google is continuing to update Adsense and will continue to innovate. It’s up to you to stay in the know and to not get left behind! Make sure to follow Google’s Adsense Blog!
So subscribe to their blog and follow what they are doing so you can take full advantage of it!

Wow that’s cool….
Google have put great mind in analysing the future business.
If we closely analyse this business idea….you will notice that they are asking from users that what htey are liking by providing them =! option.
Now in future based in this data from real users they will decide their rate of advertisement based on their demand.
They are really a future thinker….
Good post Jo…..
they have to be the “future thinker,” right? they’re the ones behind it!
Going to have to say that I like this. There are a lot of times I have seen an advertisement and told a friend or family member about it later. This just cuts out some of that process and allows me to +1 it. I realize not everyone will see the same value in it, but for me it is a great addition.
that’s what they are hoping for!
I have put G+1 on my blogs and are very useful. But it depends on the traffic itself. The more you get a lot of traffic the more G+1 gives benefit to you.
Thank you for the useful article.
sure thing pakde. you’re right, the more traffic the more efficacious it is.
Well i have been following some of the ad changes google made, what i am wondering is if Google soon will offer an adsense integration option for google plus pages , i mean an integration form, where the google plus pages owners / content provider would earn the 68/32 like we know it from webpage adsense?
If they would do that i could imagine they could make lots of web marketeers focos on google plus pages instead of FB pages.
that would be definitely interesting…. never even thought about that…!
