I had a good time hanging out with a few of you during our somewhat open Q/A session for today’s Live Broadcast. It was great stuff!

For those that missed it, here are some of the questions that I had a chance to explicitly address and answer:

  • Question about article writing, most effective tactics.
  • What is the most valuable lesson learned on SEO over the past year?
  • Question about planning out content, good resources?
  • What challenges do you see in the new year to keep your audiences engaged?
  • Any advice to new bloggers in terms of goals and results? How do you know if you are succeeding?
  • How are you able to switch off at the end of the day?
  • In challening us to be able to succinctly describe our blog, you asked the question: “Why you and not someone else?” How unique must I be in order to garner significant traffic?
  • When you evaluate content do you see pageviews as more important than unique visitors?
  • Who holds you accountable for the quality of content?

Thanks guys! Have a great New Year!

John

  1. It was great to be there!

  2. Your thoughts on Why Me and not someone else were brilliant. I totally get that man.

  3. Handel wrote the great Christmas Hallelujah chorus in three days, I learned today that John wrote the great Christmas SEO theme, Standard Theme in 5 days.

    Do genius minds think alike?

Did Heaven open while composing the Standard theme?

  4. John, due to my work schedule, I have not caught any of these live events. However, I have been catching up on them by watching the videos. I love blogging, but can honestly say that you are helping me love it even more. I am looking forward to 2011 as I work on the goals I have set after watching your earlier video.

Thanks for all of the help you are providing.

  5. I am an aspiring pastor blogger and follow your blogs “religiously”. I am excited to have discovered your live events and would like to know when they are held and what software is used so that I might participate by asking questions?
