I’ve talked a lot about how being curious is one of your greatest tools and assets when it comes to your blog (and many other entrepreneurial ventures) and I love how the embedded video really brings that visually home.

What are you going to learn this year? What are you going to try that’s “new” this year? What have you been curious about but have never been able to really investigate fully?

Guess what? This is the year. Your blog, your career, your satisfaction demands it. You know what else is pretty important? The world is waiting for the results of your findings as well.

Imagine that.

  1. Thank you – needed this today. Really.

    :) Thanks!

  2. I have frequently done my best to crush curiosity. It pissed me off. Just shut up and do what you’re told. Why all the stupid questions? Seriously?!?!?

Skye, my wife, has a child like viewpoint on the world. She asks why a lot. She wants to know reasons and causes.

    It absolutely AMAZES me.

It makes me want to yell “SHUT UP!” at her.

    Because that’s not me.

Unfortunately, I’ve been very successful in crushing my OWN curiosity.

But now, I’m finally starting to get it back. As a kid I was known for my curiosity and my imagination. But no more.

But I’m working hard at it. I’m putting in monumental effort to bring it back.

I will see the world through the eye’s of Why again.

And I’m finding that as I try more and more to see the why that others are now stepping into the spot I used to fill. They are saying, “Why are you wasting your time. That’s not worth the effort. Why would you ever need to know that?”

It boils down to, “Because I want to.”

    Great thoughts, sir. Great thoughts.

  3. Yes! Love this absolutely.

  4. Hello John!

I want so many things to happen this year! I want to push myself to the next level and become more pro than a hobbyst:)

I want to create a YT channel with recipies, improve my blogging, maybe create a free ebook aviable for Kindle? Who knows, this month ideas are just popping out of my head.

I started to learn how to make movies, here is my first one – I know that it is silly and not very well edited but I keep in mind that you said “push yoruself make a video”:) So, here it is:

I hope I’ll be able to be better and better food blogger and photographer and I hope that maybe, one day, I would be able to earn for a life this way!:)

So excited by your post and so encouraged by now:)
