Working with creatives is incredibly fun especially when you just let them do their “thing” – provide a few boundaries, a few thoughts, but in-terms of overall creative license – just let them loose.
This also means that they have creative and sometimes hard-to-pin-down vernacular that they might use to describe their work. I came upon this recently when I was working with a potential muralist to work in our newly renovated office space.
I asked him, generally, what the pricing would look like for his masterful hand. He replied:
Well, there are three tiers. You could go with boring, ok, or nutso-insane. I think you should go with insane.
I blinked a few times and then said:
Sure… I’ll take the insane. I mean, because, I want it to be nuts.
He replied:
Coo coo. It’ll be epic.
I nodded in approval. I love working with creatives.
